We’re delighted that we have once again been able to book Hothorpe Hall, in the village of Theddingworth, Leicestershire LE17 6QX (www.hothorpe.co.uk Tel: 01858 881500) for our annual church weekend away in 2012.
As we found last year, Hothorpe Hall is an amazing facility: 139 modern and well-equipped rooms (almost all with en-suite facilities & TV), pool table, table tennis, TV lounge, licensed bar and 12 acres of grounds, including an all weather tennis/basketball court.
Hothorpe Hall have advised us that normally all U16s must stay in a room with their parents. However, for our weekend they have graciously allowed for ‘a mature U16 to share a room (with another mature U16)… as long as they are next to a parent who would be willing to take responsibility for them’.
As usual, we will have a guest speaker and some worship times, as well as plenty of opportunities for extra activities, fellowship and evening entertainments – including our legendary ‘NLC’s Got Talent’ extravaganza.
Once again we are substantially subsidising the cost of the weekend from church funds. As a result, the rates payable in 2012 are only:
- Adults (ie 16 and over): £85
- Teens (ie 12 to 15s): £60
- Children (ie 4 to 11s) £40
- Tinies (ie under 4): Free
We want to make sure that the weekend is accessible to everyone, so once again too, we will be capping the total fee payable per family at only £285 per family. I hope you will agree that this is fantastic value for a fully-catered weekend in such a well equipped facility. However, if the above costs are a problem for you, please let me or Carole know and – in confidence – we will ensure that this hurdle can be overcome.
To book, please fill in the attached form and return it to Martin Wilde by 31st January. Please either attach to it a deposit cheque for £50, or pay the £50 deposit online at www.newlifechurchcambridge.org.
We will ask for the balance to be paid by the end of March please. To help you do this, you can make regular payments on-line via the web site.
